Born on the Slopes of the Col du Galibier
Velimora Trek was founded in 2018 after our founder, an avid cyclist from Boulder, Colorado, spent three summers riding across Europe and discovered that planning a serious European cycling tour from the United States was incredibly frustrating — fragmented information, unreliable tour operators, and a total lack of resources designed for American riders.
The solution was simple: build the resource he wished had existed. Today, Velimora Trek is the leading English-language authority on European cycling tours, providing in-depth route guides, honest gear reviews, and carefully curated tour recommendations for US-based cyclists.
Our team includes certified cycling guides, professional route planners, and former competitive cyclists who have collectively ridden over 500,000 km across 18 European countries. Every recommendation on this site has been personally tested on two wheels.
